Abstract

Humans, nature, animals, and plants together form a unity that forms the life cycle. These elements are important to maintain the balance of life. If one is disturbed, it will have an impact on the others. Environmental problems often start from the economic struggle of the community. In dealing with poverty, nature is the only place to protect from economic difficulties that increasingly ensnare life. As a result, the balance of nature for future generations is neglected. Public actions raises various challenges of life. This study will explore ecological awareness and economic development initiatives carried out by the Sembalun community development center, which is located in Sembalun Village on Lombok Island, near Mount Rinjani. By using qualitative descriptive analysis methods, this research highlights the important role of SCDC in maintaining the balance of nature and improving the socio -economic welfare of the community.
