CIGARSKRUIE: JOURNAL OF EDUCATIONAL & ISLAMIC RESEARCH WRITING GUIDELINES

The article

  1. Does not contain plagiarism elements and has a maximum similarity index of 20%. (please attach the similarity index check result to the supplementary files column).
  2. Never and is not being published in another journal.
  3. Written in Indonesian or English (using Microsoft Word, Californian FB 12pt, 1,5 cm space, A4 paper size).

A. The article substance and systematics

Articles published in CIGARSKRUIE: Journal of Educational and Islamic Research is articles that study a problem related to each specific Education such as; (1) Education Policies; (2) Evaluation of Education; (3) Arts and Culture Education, (4) Education Technology; (5) Education Development; (6) Education Psychology; (7) Health Education; and (8) Social Education. Futhermore, for the Islamic research field covers; (1) Islamic Studies and its Problems; (2) The History of the Journey of Islam from time to time; (3) The Object of Islamic Studies (faith & shariah); (4) Primary Resource of Islamic Studies Object (al-Qur'an, al-Hadith & Ijtihad); (5) Contemporary al-Qur'an, al-Hadith, and Islamic Law Study Model; (6) Islami and Challenges in Modernity; and (7) Modern Ideology of Islam; and Islamic Religious Education. The elements that must exist in the articles are: 1) Title, 2) Author's Name, Institution/University/Faculty/Study Program's name, countries, and e-mail address, 3) Abstract and Keywords, 4) Introduction, 5) Methodology 6) Results and Discussion, 7) Conclusions, and 8) Bibliography/References.

B. Writing style

Papers published in CIGARSKRUIE: Journal of Educational and Islamic Research have a writing style as followed:

  1. A received article is an article written using the MS-Word program, A4 paper, in 10 to 15 pages, with one and a half space and using Californian FB 12 pt font.
  2. The article title is written specifically and effectively, a maximum of 12 Indonesian words or 15 English words.
  3. The abstract is the essence of the paper, written in one paragraph, using Indonesian and English, and a maximum of 200-250 words.
  4. Write abstracts in active voice, for example: Active (Researchers showed previously that education and religion can lead to human's life). Passive (It was previously proved that the great civilization in the world can be caused by education and religion) 
  5. Keywords consist of 10-12 or phrases that reflect the concepts written in the paper.
  6. Preliminary, this section provides background or research context, theoretical review, related problems, gap analysis, and novelty. The predecessor has a 15-20% portion of the article.
  7. Method. This part covers the design and subject of research, data collection, research procedures, and technical analysis.
  8. Results and Discussion. This part consists of the analysis of recent data, gap analysis, novelty, answering research questions, and findings. The discussion involved interpretation of results, comparisons with research and other theories, and the implications of the results of the study.
  9. Conclusion. This section contains the research conclusions and suggestions made based on the findings, shown to certain points with operational advice in short paragraphs.
  10. References. Provides literature information used in articles with 80% of primary and current literature (from journal articles and research) and 20% textual citations (maximum of the last 10 years).
  11. The applied tables and graphs must be accompanied by the source and numbering.
  12. Footnote and bibliography use the Cigarskruie: Journal of Educational and Islamic Research  writing guidelines.
  13. The Indonesian or English language used in Cigarskruie: Journal of Educational and Islamic Research is good and correct Indonesian or English.

 

C. Footnote style

The applied footnote system in Cigarskruie: Journal of Educational and Islamic Research is the Californian FB of Style 7th edition and uses reference management tools Mendeley/Zotero/Endnote).

D. Bibliography

Bibliography in Cigarskruie: Journal of Educational and Islamic Research is arranged alphabetically based on the cited author's last name. The format for writing the bibliography follows the the Californian FB of Style 7th edition and uses reference management tools Mendeley/Zotero/Endnote).

Bibliography (Minimum 10 for researches, minimum 25 for literature reviews), each bibliography reference is referred to in the body record (citation). The bibliography must contain: - Primary references (journals, proceedings) of at least 80% of all references - Current references (last 10 years) of at least 80% of all references.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
